For Lindsey and I every wedding that we photograph is special and carries with it its own unique form of excitement. We love being there in the moment with our bride and groom, who we usually have known only for a brief time, but have learned so much about their lives and the love they have for each other. For Nathan and Laura Beth our excitement knows no bounds. I have had the privilege of knowing Nathan since Jr. High and though he was several years older than myself, I always considered him a mentor and a friend. He is one of the most "real" persons i know. (He's also a rocket scientist, which is just awesome.) When Lindsey and I got wind of his proposal to equally amazing, Laura Beth we were ecstatic. You guys are awesome together and we cant wait till your husband and wife. And now enough with the words and on with the pictures...Enjoy!

Fun Fridays!

Recently, I was talking to a friend who teaches 5th grade at a nearby school and she was telling me how every week on Friday they end class 45 minutes early so the kids can have what they call "Fun Friday." I love this Idea and am going to try and implement it here at DLimage with the "Fun Friday" blog post, where we take a few minutes to enjoy ourselves and share it with you. For our first Fun Friday i thought i would introduce you to our children, Kiefer and Lucy.

Kiefer, is our youngest but is a more willing subject so i thought i would post him first. Kiefer is our big boy, he is a 150 LB Great Dane and is the biggest push over you have ever seen. He is so sweet and gentle that our 5 year old nephew has no problem walking him. When ever we describe Kiefer the word Jowls always comes up, but to truly get the full impact of the word you must see Kiefer to understand.

Next we have Lucy (A.K.A. Lucy-Fur), she is our Labradane(part Lab part dane). Unlike Kiefer who gets tired out after playing fetch for five minutes, Lucy could play all day and if your not throwing the stick, she is running around the yard looking for the mole that tunnels through our yard.

Nashville Portrait Photography- DLimage

Its not everyday that we have the opportunity to photograph a new born session, so when we do we often have so many ideas that we have a hard time knowing where to start. We were blessed this session with a very relaxed subject, baby Kristina, was absolutely wonderful to work with. We also had the chance to try a new trick that made her putty in our hands. Over the past year Lindsey and I have had so much fun getting to know Andrew, Nicole and their sweet daughter Brookline. I can't believe how fast their wedding has gone by it seems like yesterday that we were meeting at Starbucks to talk about their planes for their wedding. We were so excited when they chose to have an aftersession as one of their custom shoots, its so nice to be able to spend an afternoon with our couples after the rush of the wedding day has passed and just get some beautiful images thats just for them. Glacier Bay

L and I have had an amazing time so far in Alaska. Yesterday we spent the entire day aw struck by Glacier Bay. It was amazing, such beautiful country. Im slightly annoyed with L, I leave her for two seconds and she sees a pod of whales without me. I told her that was it! she is stuck with me the rest of the cruise, im not going to leave her side for a second. Today we have been in port at Juneau all day, this is the first time we have been off the ship since Sunday and it has been great! I don't know if we will find internet at the smaller towns so here are some pictures from Glacier bay.

Last Saturday we had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Andrew and Nicole. Despite a few early morning showers, the weather was beautiful for the couples outdoor wedding.
